The Office of Commercialization and Intellectual Property identifies and manages the intellectual property portfolio at Southern Research Institute, while seeking licensing partners for select commercially viable technologies.
Our discoveries include six compounds that received FDA approval and are now being marketed for the treatment of cancer. Six additional compounds have been licensed and are now in clinical trials. We developed a non-destructive method to detect and analyze disbonding, adhesive failures and rust and cracking in materials. And we also developed unique microencapsulation and vaccine delivery mechanisms.
